Have you ever been rejected, disappointed, refused, or disqualified?
You are not alone, others before you have gone through the phase
Many coming after you will still encounter this phase
I doubt if there is any man born of a woman on the face of the earth
Who has never heard the word “NO” several times
Even the rich, who you think can afford all things, do face denial
There is no one in business who has not encountered a NO, also
most men did not get married to the first woman they asked out
Even the Creator says NO to our request at times
We should not allow this two letter word have adverse effect on us,
Let us learn to accept it as a challenge to do better, improve the quality of our work, product, proposal, and even appearance as the case may be
Also remember that we as individuals do say NO to others too, we should critically look at the reasons why we say NO to others, maybe this is also other people’s reasons for saying NO to us too.
Let us teach our children how to handle NO, we should not be seen going about with a long face around the house anytime we are refused a thing.
NO is not the end of the world, it is just an opportunity to look or try elsewhere.
The funny thing is that, you may likely get a yes later from that same place you got a NO earlier.
Even in the English dictionary NO comes before YES, so it is most times in life.
I encourage you today, try again, submit that proposal, make that call again, visit that client again and who knows a YES may be around the corner
Remember, the world’s greatest salesmen have learnt to make NO inspire them, let us learn from them and make NO inspire us too.
